The hike to Blue Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness is less than three miles, but encompasses as much scenic variety as you might encounter in the average vacation. The pleasant amble quickly takes you to treeline. The lake, at 11,320 feet, is in a dramatic basin surrounded by Paiute Peak, Mount Toll, Pawnee Peak and Mount Audubon.
